How inquiry information is used

Information collected

When you submit interest in an item, the marketplace stores your name, chosen contact information, requested quantity, offer if entered, message, and privacy-protecting hashes used for abuse prevention.

Who can see it

Inquiry details are visible only inside the protected seller dashboard. Public listings do not expose buyer or seller contact information.

Notifications

Seller alerts include only the listing title, the buyer’s first name, requested quantity, and a secure dashboard link. Full contact details and messages are not copied into the alert.

Retention

Unanswered inquiries are eligible for anonymization after 90 days. Declined, cancelled, waitlisted, or expired inquiries are eligible after 90 days. Completed transaction contact details are eligible after 180 days.

Removal

The seller can remove personal information from resolved inquiries earlier. Anonymization preserves basic non-personal marketplace history while permanently clearing the buyer’s name, contact details, message, and request fingerprints.
